The 9th International Banana Congress is organized by the National Banana Corporation (CORBANA), which is a non-state public entity created by a law of the Republic of Costa Rica in 1971. Its main focus is the development of the banana industry in Costa Rica and to serve the producer.
This institution develops research programs to strengthen the quality of banana cultivation, provides producers with state-of-the-art technology, and maintains lines of credit to facilitate the operation and recovery of plantations in the face of natural disasters in the Caribbean region of Costa Rica, among other commitments to improve the industry.

It will be held May 23-26, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Miami, Florida, USA.
